It’s been FOREVER!
I must say, I’ve been run off my feet lately, with shows and rehearsals coming out the back of my tuck-g! I’ve got a few exciting projects coming up, and while they’re in the early phases, I’m really excited about where things could go.
While the new concepts are brewing away, I’ve also been working with the Glamazons on our new Wednesday night show. Ripley’s been working on the music, and I heard some great mixes last Wednesday that are seeing the show develop some shape. Millie and I have been discussing costumes and we’re aiming for more glitz and more gay than ever before.
Over the past few week’s I’ve hosted Drag for Dollars at Arq Nightclub, where some of Sydney’s best (and worst) talent take to the stage for the chance to win $100 cash. Held every Thursday night from 12 midnight, it’s ALWAYS a hoot. I’ve performed at a camp event at Arq called Strictly 90’s, showcasing my on of my favourite era’s of music ever, and also supported DIVA at Stonewall’s International Day of Drag. I think we had more drag queens there than San Fran has in it’s Pride festival!
Other exciting news includes an upcoming trip to perform at Krave Nightclub’s Birthday Celebrations and of course my weekly trivia night held on Mondays at the Technology Park Hotel, 1 Wyndham St Alexandria. We’ve got $100 for you to win, DELICIOUS food in the bistro and a topless bartender to keep you salivating. Be there at 7 for a 7:30pm start

TWINKTOWN THIS FRIDAY NIGHT!
My first, proper Twinktown, organised all by my own self is finally coming to a nightclub near YOU!
Twinktown Hello Sailor! will be setting sail with a naughty-cal theme this Friday 22nd January. Slide Nightclub is being transformed into a magical underwater wonderland as I write this, and I’ll be expecting to see plenty of cabin boys, sea-wenches and hopefully some arse-pirates for good measure! Summer’s final show with Carlotta and her first Twinktown!
It’s the end of an era and indeed the beginning of another one. This weekend will see me perform with Carlotta in her Priscilla Show for the final time. A boss, an inspiration, a mother and a friend, Carlotta has been so many wonderful things to me, and I will miss her dearly when she retires after the final show for 2009. (more…)
